“Amazing time on Vieques”

“My husband and I recently stayed at the SeaGate and had an incredible time. From the first call I made to the hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had tons of questions ranging from rental cars to tours, etc, and they answered every question, and helped us even more when we arrived. They picked us up promptly after we arrived at the airport (for free), and really made our stay nice. We were there during the off-season, and were upgraded to a nicer room when we arrived. It was very large (with a full sized kitchen and large bathroom) and nicely decorated. The view was also very nice. We were also provided a nice breakfast (cereal, breads, juice). I couldn't give them a high enough review and would definitely stay there again!”

“Loved Vieques and the Seagate Hotel”

“We recently spent a week at the Seagate Hotel in Vieques P.R. A friend had specifically recommended this hotel and this island and neither one disappointed us! The island is still unspoiled, which is a rarity. The hotel is charming and a little quirky which we found enticing. The many friendly animals on the grounds add to the relaxed ambience. The service is excellent, and the breakfasts are more than adequate. Penny and her staff were friendly and helpful, even willing to drive us to various locations. We highly recommend this hotel if you are bored by the Marriott "sameness" and want a pleasant, different kind of experience.”

“Friendliest hotel experience ever”

“Our stay at SeaGate on Vieques was the most pleasant of our short stay in Puerto Rico. From the initial phone call to the hotel with Jeffrey (the manager) we felt completely at ease and taken care of in a calm and friendly manner. Which is nice when you're jetting around trying to fit everything in at a pace that can feel frantic. His wife, Zoraida, made sure that we were booked for a tour of the Bio Bay and dinner at a recommended restaurant. We were driven to and from wherever we needed to go, or given excellent recommendations and directions. The dogs and cats wandering around made us feel at home. The room itself was clean and equipped. The building and surrounding area was aesthetically pleasing. The hotel is on the top of a lush hill and you will hear horses winnying and roosters crowing throughout the night. We recommend this hotel and hope to return some day.”

“Fantastic getaway”

‘Had a wonderful stay in apt. #9. The staff (Zoraida predominately) was super friendly and very helpful with taxi service & beach recommendations. I usually stay in Esperanza, but everything was booked the weekend I was planing to be there. Thank goodness . . . for otherwise, I'd never have found the SeaGate Hotel. .. I would stay at The SeaGate Hotel again in a heartbeat!”

“Cosy, charming, escape to nature......great relaxed place”

“Beautiful lush grounds and as much nature as you can absorb (Horses, Roosters, dogs, cats, and iguanas too), clean spacious rooms, great hands on management that have creative solutions and know all the secrets of making your stay perfect.  You must book a car well in advance when coming to Vieques!  The SeaGate offers horse riding in the area including a visit to the beach.....it was amazing..... BIO BAY KAYAK - a must!!! We had a great experience with Jeff and Zori, the new managers, it seems like they are taking the hotel to the next level and have tons of drive and patience for all of your questions. We recommend this place highly, and it wont be long before we will be coming back.”

Hello SeaGate Hotel!

I had the pleasure to stay with you for a few days last week. My boyfriend Dave and I had a fabulous time! Our room was beautiful and perfectly comfortable--Dave joked that he slept like a sack of babies. I'm a huge animal lover, and I had so much fun being greeted by the gang whenever we came and went. I particularly fell in love with Fuzzy, so please give her a belly rub for me.

On the last night of our stay in Vieques, Dave noticed his cardholder (which had his ID, credit/debit cards, and my debit card which I gave to him so I wouldn't have to carry anything with me) was missing. Penny and Gloria were on the hunt with us, and Penny went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to continue our vacation without much hassle, but with Penny's help we went to bed that night anticipating the next leg of our journey, not worrying about what to do next.

Thank you for all of your hospitality. Our stay in Vieques and at the SeaGate was my favorite part of our Puerto Rico vacation, and I will recommend you very highly to other travelers!
